Exclusive Safaris · Kenya
Our Amboseli à la carte is a 3-day fly-in safari from Nairobi to the park famous for its elephants and its views of Kilimanjaro. A short scheduled flight from Wilson Airport replaces the four-to-five-hour drive, and you choose your base from 11 camps and lodges, from Ol Tukai Lodge and Amboseli Serena inside the park to Elewana Tortilis Camp, Tawi Lodge and the Chyulu Hills hideaways of Campi ya Kanzi and Ol Donyo Lodge.
You are met at the airstrip with a shared game drive to camp, arriving for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Day two brings shared morning and afternoon game drives among the big-tusked elephants of the Amboseli swamps, and on day three you fly back to Wilson, arriving mid-morning.
Flights to Amboseli generally run early in the morning only, so you will need a night in Nairobi before the safari, which we can arrange. Extra nights can be added with the same activities as day two.
Who it suits: photographers chasing elephants with Kilimanjaro behind them, travellers with limited time, and those combining Amboseli with a flight onward to the Mara or the coast.
Camps inside the national park, such as Ol Tukai Lodge and Amboseli Serena, put you closest to the swamps where the elephants gather. Those in the surrounding conservancies, such as Elewana Tortilis Camp and Tawi Lodge, add walking and night activities, while Campi ya Kanzi and Ol Donyo Lodge in the Chyulu Hills offer a more remote experience.
